Thanks and Season’s Greetings

In just over three years from IM4DC’s inception to the end of 2014, IM4DC has presented 88 short courses, workshops and study tours in Australia and other countries, involving more than 2,300 participants, including 700 women, from 65 countries.

IM4DC’s university-based schools and centres have delivered more than 13,500 participant training days.  IM4DC’s Alumni on-line community of practice is more than 1,400 strong. As well, IM4DC has hosted 18 Fellows, cemented numerous partnerships with developing country institutions and commissioned more than 50 action research projects.

Evaluation of impact is showing that IM4DC’s programs are resulting in significant changes to practices in many partner countries, with indications of policy changes also.

Thanks and Season’s Greetings to all of our Alumni, Faculty and partners for a great year of collaborative achievement in mining for development.

The next edition of the IM4DC eNews will be circulated in late January 2015.
