Liam joined IM4DC as Program Manager in 2014. He brought to IM4DC experience in oil and gas banking, political economy, and private sector development in East, West and Southern Africa.
Previously Liam was a foundation member of Addax Bioenergy (ABSL), a US$ 500m sugar cane to bio-ethanol company based between Geneva, Switzerland and within the Tonkollili and Bombali-Sebora Chiefdoms, Sierra Leone. Liam worked under World Bank principles as the Social and Corporate Affairs Manager coordinating the social aspects of the project alongside the African Development Bank (AfDB) and European Development Finance Institutions. ABSL successfully shipped its first ethanol exports in March 2014.
Prior to joining Addax, Liam worked for JP Morgan in Sydney and ING Bank in Amsterdam leading the financing of large offshore oil and gas projects in Norway, Brazil, Thailand, Nigeria, and the United States of America.
Liam completed his Masters in International Development at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies at the University of Geneva in 2011. He also holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and Science from The University of Queensland, Brisbane and McGill University, Montreal.
