Hussain joined IM4DC in April 2013 as a part time Program Analyst. His role involved assisting in organising and facilitating programs, fellowships and master classes, as well as providing logistical and pastoral care support for programs.
He also worked as a casual Research Assistant for the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISHC). At MISHC, he looked after the Minerals Industry Risk Management Gateway (MIRMgate) and COMPLIANCEgate. MIRMgate is a portal to a comprehensive library of information related to hazard and risk management in the mining, minerals processing and quarrying industries. COMPLIANCEgate conveniently classifies and cross references mining safety compliance documentation so you can quickly and easily access the latest legislation and regulations.
Prior to joining IM4DC and MISHC, Hussain worked as an Undergraduate Mining Engineer for WDS Limited. WDS limited is a publicly listed company and is a leading integrated provider of specialist development, design engineering, construction, fabrication and maintenance related services to the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.
Hussain has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, majoring in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland.
